Life is really great. I know often we feel like we’re the only ones struggling or like the weight of the world is on our shoulders, but the truth is — none of that is true.
Struggling is subjective, but everyone is carrying something. We just carry it differently. Maybe “struggle” isn’t even the right word — we all have responsibilities, people relying on us. But when you shift your focus from “woe is me,” you start to see you’re not the only one . And when you focus on the good, no matter how small, your whole vibration changes giving you new perspective and even opportunities for handling the load. Now I’m not saying ignore your experience or to be delusional. What I am saying is don’t let your load consume and isolate you.
And this is coming from a SAHM who is basically raising five kids alone because my entire village is always working. It’s easy to slip into that hole of depression, but when I think about my mom randomly inviting me over and making dinner for me and the kids, especially when I’m tired — she doesn’t know how much that means to me. I know she’s tired too, but she still chooses to cook. I clean up after dinner so she can rest.
That’s healing. That’s community.
I’m not a burden because I don’t work.
She’s not a burden when she needs me.
We feed each other’s souls in ways that can’t always be explained, but can always be felt. 💛
